St. James Conservancy at Work

The St. James Conservancy will hold its first annual St. James Conservancy at Work event on Thursday (9/28) from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at Woodlands Pavilion. Exhibits will include: “Bagged Oyster Shells and Spartina Alterniflora Grasses – Living Shoreline,” a UNCW research sanctuary along the Intracoastal Waterway (UNCW host); “The Royal Order of the Honorary St. James Oyster;” birding (certified National Audubon Bird Cooperative Sanctuary); recycling; National Wildlife Foundation Wildlife Habitat Certification for yards and gardens; king tides; sea turtles; community litter sweep (highways and beaches); trails; ponds; energy issues; membership; and Bald Head Island Conservancy’s education and conservation teams.
