Friends of the Library Southport & Oak Island Harper Library March events

Join the Friends of the Library Southport & Oak Island at your local public libraries! Barbee Library, at 8200 E. Oak Island Drive in Oak Island, will be studying Democracy and its Alternatives in its Lifelong Learners sessions on Thursdays at 10:00 am. Also at Barbee: presentations on the Oak Island Lighthouse, chair yoga sessions, beginner adult chess classes, the movie The Secret Life of Bees, Socrates discussions, and one-on-one tech support. Harper Library, at 109 W. Moore St. in Southport, will be studying Medical Myths, hosting a talk on North Carolina’s Royal Governors and Fort Johnston, plus a board game party, bingo, trivia, writers’ group sessions, crafts, Dungeons & Dragons, and one-on-one tech support.
