Friends of the Library Southport & Oak Island Barbee Library Meet the Authors!

FOLSOI is thrilled to host authors Cameron Kent and Laurel Senick at Barbee Library on Thursday, May 16, at 2PM, at Barbee Library, 8200 E. Oak Island Drive, Oak Island. Kent is the author of The Oak Island Book Club, a story of two lost souls who change their lives through a two-person book club. Kent is a member of the North Carolina Broadcasters Hall of Fame, having spent 33 years at WXII-12 News in Winston-Salem. In his second career, he has published six novels, including The Oak Island Book Club, released in December.

Laurel Senick’s book Foam takes you on a wild ride of waves and a race against time to find an ancient treasure. Senick is an award-winning author, filmmaker and surf trip guru who spends most of the year in coastal North Carolina.
