Cape Fear Flyfishers

The Cape Fear Flyfishers meet every third Wednesday (except summers) at 6:15 PM at the St. James Community Center. Our next meeting on 3/15 promises a great presentation from Captain Jon Huf, a long-time international and US guide. He will share his insights into striper fishing on the Cape Fear near Wilmington, where he has had impressive results. He’ll also share his reds and local Tarpon fishing experience. Weather permitting, we will practice fly casting in the ponds next to the center at 5:00 PM. Bring your gear or borrow one of the instructor’s many rods. We welcome anyone new to the area or new to fly fishing. Opportunities abound for local fishing or fishing trips sponsored by the club.
