Boating Safety Class

Southport Sail and Power Squadron will present “Emergency Medicine for Boaters” on Saturday (4/8) at Cape Fear Regional Jetport, 4015 Airport Rd. in Southport. The class will cover emergency medical problems, from onshore tick and spider bites to offshore near drownings and fractures and plenty in between. Presented by an experienced emergency physician and boater, the class will offer an easy-to-understand review of medical problems you may encounter on the water and off when medical help is not nearby. The cost is $15.00, which includes a full copy of course material. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM, with the class starting at 9:00 AM.
